If you’re involved in, or have been affected by violence, you can speak to a trusted adult or report it anonymously.
Remember, if you are in danger or need immediate help, you should phone 999.
Violence starts with words. It can often be prevented with them too. If you witness someone using violent or abusive language, you can be greater.
From boxing to producing their own music, meet young people from Greater Manchester who are choosing to be greater than violence.
Violence is not just physical fighting but can include arguments, rumours, bullying, offensive language or intimidation.
What starts in the group chat or on social media can quickly snowball into something more serious.
Online actions, including name-calling, harassment, sharing of personal information, and encouraging others to be violent, can have real-life consequences, leading to physical harm or emotional distress.
You can choose not to engage with content that could lead to someone getting hurt.
Be greater than the things you see online.
Find your placeEveryone has a role to play in stopping violence. By working together, we can make Greater Manchester safer for all.
