Ashton Youth Club
Bringing personal and social development to the heart of our community
Ashton Youth Club is an inclusive youth and community provision run by Lindley Educational Trust, a long-established charity with a strong track record of delivering outdoor adventure and personal development opportunities.
At the heart of Ashton Youth Club is a simple aim: to break down barriers, bring people together and help young people and families thrive through positive experiences in the outdoors.
We provide a safe, welcoming space where young people can build friendships, develop confidence and discover new interests. Alongside our regular youth clubs and sports sessions, we offer a wide range of activities and opportunities designed to support personal growth, teamwork and long-term skills development.
What we offer:
Our programme includes:
- Weekly youth clubs and sports sessions
- Outdoor activity trips and residential experiences
- Community events and activities for local families
- Long-term skills-for-life projects lasting six months or more
- Outdoor expeditions and adventure challenges, where young people work together over time to plan, prepare for and take part in challenging experiences
Through these opportunities, young people are encouraged to take on new challenges, develop practical skills, build resilience and confidence, and discover what they are capable of achieving.
Growing together through adventure
Our longer-term projects give young people the chance to take ownership of their experiences. Working together as a group, they plan and prepare for adventurous outdoor expeditions, developing valuable skills such as communication, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and decision-making along the way.
Whether taking part in a weekly session, trying a new sport, joining a family event or embarking on an exciting outdoor expedition, Ashton Youth Club is about creating opportunities, building connections and helping our community grow together.
